Just buy a tablet! Wacoms are the best out there, the Graphire models are the cheapest they have: [link]
You might find deals on older models if you shop around...

Also if you don't own Photoshop, use free software such as the gimp, it's as awesome as free software can get, well except for Firefox ^__^: [link]

There are also programs cheaper than photoshop that are good as well. Such as OpenCanvas [link] , Corel Painter [link] , and probably more.
Btw, there was an earlier version of OpenCanvas (ver. 1.1) that's free. Here's a link to it: [link]
If it doesn't work just search -- opencanvas 1.1 download.

I can't buy a tablet, I'm broke D: And if I'm gonna get one, I want a really good one.

I'll have to look those up; free is always nice :D And cheap is the next best thing. X3

Some how I missed your reply, sorry for the late comment...

D: Yeah, I know the feeling, I'm broke too...
But, if you want to do anything art related on a computer, (even if you wanted to just color scanned inked drawings) a tablet should be one of the first things on your list to get. Btw, all of Wacom's tablets are good for what there are made for even the cheaper Graphire ones. Though, the Intuos models are great! I greatly recommend one if/when you consider getting a tablet.
